Dot to Dot Connections is now open for business! The past two weeks have been a whirlwind of licensing, registrations and other business details, but I now am "official". I've been working on the website behind the scenes of this blog and it is now up and running as well. There may need to be some changes here and there as we go along, but I finally got the commerce part set up so that purchases can be made directly from this site.  I hope you'll explore the tabs above to see what the site will be offering.  

Be sure to check out the SHOP, where the first Subscription Box is available for purchase. It is called Color Magic and is full of activities to explore colors and color mixing. It even includes a great book to share together. 

My goal in creating these boxes is to provide everything you need to complete the activities right at your fingertips. I want you to be able to spend time connecting with your child rather than scurrying around gathering supplies and setting everything up. In most cases, the only other ingredients that YOU will need to provide are simple household materials such as water, crayons or paper towels.   The activities and book are appropriate for children ages 3-8 years old of all ability levels. Younger children might need a bit more supervision/assistance, while older kids will likely be more independent. Add-on packs are even available for additional children. These packs include additional consumable materials, as well as another journal page.

All too often, we rush through life without stopping to listen the simple stories of our children and to share our own experiences, so I hope that you will use this time together for just that. A time to really CONNECT! There is a journal page for both children and adults included in every box where you can record your ideas and thoughts and then share them with each other. 

You will have the option to purchase an individual box to try things out before making a commitment, if you wish, through our Month-to-month option. Price breaks are available for the yearly subscriptions, which can be purchased in two different options: Bi-monthly (one box sent every other month for a total of 6 boxes) and Quarterly (one box sent each quarter for a total of 4 boxes).  *With the Bi-Monthly Subscription, the Keepsake Binder will also be included free.  Good news for everyone---Shipping is free for all purchases, so it is a great time to try us out.

One of the things I am most excited about with this business is the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of some needy children in my area. I firmly believe that all children are capable of learning and have a desire to really connect with significant adults in their lives. I also believe that those connections are the most important influences on them as they learn and grow, and it is our job to be sure they are positive influences. But, I also realize that not all families have the resources available to purchase these boxes or even to purchase the materials on their own. With your help, I want help families overcome those challenges by learning to connect with simple materials and play. No expensive toys are needed for that! With the purchase of each box, materials will be given to a needy family, along with training on how to use the materials effectively.
